Overview
Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Mangala Hospital
Our Obstetrics & Gynaecology department provides complete care for women across every life stage — regular reproductive health check-ups, antenatal and obstetric care, family planning and contraception guidance, and management of menstrual-health conditions such as PCOS, menorrhagia and menopause. Gynaecological screenings and minimally invasive surgery are available alongside routine outpatient consultation.
At the centre of the department is a dedicated Labour Theatre Complex — separate from the main operation theatres — built specifically for childbirth. It includes two labour suites with dedicated labour rooms, a separate operation theatre reserved for Caesarean section, fully motorised birthing beds, distinct pre-delivery and post-delivery care areas, continuous foetal heart monitors, non-stress testing (NST), and the option of painless delivery. A dedicated newborn resuscitation bay sits within the Labour Theatre itself, so a baby who needs immediate attention at birth doesn't have to be moved.
For gynaecological surgery, our team performs laparoscopic procedures including Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy (TLH) and Lap-Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy (LAVH), along with an infertility work-up service for couples trying to conceive. Newborns who need higher-level care move seamlessly into our Neonatal Care (NICU) team, kept close by design rather than as an afterthought.
